Examples
Reach a device on its fallback address through the adapter it is plugged into (en0 here; eth0 or Ethernet are typical on Linux and Windows):
sudo bb-eco route add 192.168.127.254 --interface en0
Route to 192.168.127.254 added on en0. It lasts until the next restart.
Then open the device's web page at http://192.168.127.254 or let bb-eco discover find it, and give it an address on your network. On macOS the route covers the whole 192.168.127.0/24 range, so every device on that range becomes reachable with the one command.
The command refuses anything that is not a private address outside your current networks, or an adapter that is not up, so a typo cannot change how your computer reaches the internet. Without elevation it stops before touching anything:
bb-eco route add 192.168.127.254 --interface en0
Changing the routing table requires sudo.
