Description of Changes
Brainboxes has historically used either numbered or symbol-marked black pluggable terminal blocks across several of our products. Due to short-term supply constraints, we temporarily changed our bespoke symbol-marked black terminal blocks to blank terminal blocks to ensure the continued supply of products using this part.
From 15-May-26 to 31-Jul-26, this change may affect the following products:
- ED-5XX
- ES-5XX
- SW-1XX, SW-5XX, SW-6XX, SW-7XX & SW-7XXX
As of 01-Aug-26, this temporary change has been reversed, and the symbol-marked black terminal block is now used across all applicable products.
Identifying Your Terminal Block
Brainboxes has supplied three marking styles of black pluggable terminal block over time. All three are the same connector; only the printed markings differ between the styles. Depending on which products you have ordered, and when, you may receive a mixture of products with the following terminal blocks fitted:

| Numbered | Each connection is labelled 1 - 5 |
| Symbol-marked | Each connection is labelled with a symbol (-V, +VA, +VB, -V & FE) |
| Blank | No labelling on any connection |
All three styles are mechanically and electrically identical as the pinouts are fixed on the product itself. There is no effect on the operation, rating or reliability of the product; all three styles are fully interchangeable.
