How do I upgrade my Ethernet IO device's firmware?
Boost.IO Manager is Windows-only and now superseded by BB-Eco — a cross-platform desktop app and command-line tool that handles ED firmware upgrades on Windows, macOS, and Linux with the same BOOTP/TFTP transfer underneath, plus pre-flight safety checks and bulk operations. New users should start with Upgrade your first device with BB-Eco. This page stays available for sites that haven't yet migrated.

Brainboxes Ethernet-to-IO (ED) Firmware
The firmware versions available to download are for the newer Revision 3 (Rev3) devices.
If you have an older Revision 2 (Rev2) device, the Boost.IO program will refuse to perform the upgrade for your device, citing that the firmware is not suitable.
If you encounter this issue, please contact support. The latest version of firmware available for the range of ED devices is 8.33T, with the exception of the ED-549, which is 8.25T.
This video explains step by step how to upgrade the firmware for an ED product. The latest firmware for the Ethernet IO range can be found in the downloads section above. It is recommended that you upgrade both the driver and firmware at the same time.
