Windows XP / Server 2003 Installation

Follow these steps to install your Brainboxes Serial Solutions card on Windows XP or Windows Server 2003.

Installation Steps​

  1. After your computer has booted up, a New Found Hardware Wizard will appear for the card that you inserted into the computer.

The screenshots for Windows XP installation show the wizard dialogs. The actual appearance may vary slightly depending on your Windows version and theme settings.

  1. Insert the CD that came with your Brainboxes device and point the New Found Hardware Wizard to the CD.

  2. The driver files will start to copy across to your computer. This example is for the PM-121 and may differ slightly for each product.

  3. When the files have finished copying across, the New Found Hardware Wizard will finish. Press Finish.

  4. A second New Found Hardware Wizard will appear. Choose to Install from a specific location (Advanced).

  5. Again select to search from the removable media to search the CD.

  6. When the files have finished copying across, the Found New Hardware Wizard will finish. Press Finish.

  7. The New Found Hardware Wizard will appear again for other ports that are on the device. Follow the above instructions again to install the ports.

tip

For multi-port cards, you will need to repeat the installation process for each port on the device.
