Initial Configuration
Default Settings
Out of the box, the BB-400 is configured with the following default settings:

Connecting via Wi-Fi Access Point
When the BB-400 has no network connectivity, it automatically enables its Wi-Fi access point mode, indicated by the flashing Wi-Fi Link and Web LEDs.
- On your computer or mobile device, scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
- Connect to the network named "BB-400-XXXX" where XXXX is the last four characters of the device MAC address.
- Open a web browser and navigate to
https://192.168.127.2:9090 - Accept the security certificate warning (the connection is encrypted but uses a self-signed certificate).
- Log in using username "bb" and the default password (last 4 digits of MAC address).
Connecting via Ethernet
If the UPLINK port is connected to a network with DHCP, the BB-400 will automatically obtain an IP address.
- Connect the UPLINK port to your network.
- Check your DHCP server or router for the assigned IP address, or use the hostname "bb400-XXXX".
- Navigate to
https://[IP-ADDRESS]:9090orhttps://bb400-XXXX:9090 - Log in with the default credentials.
Web Administration Interface
The BB-400 web administration interface provides access to all device configuration options:
- Status: Overview of device state and front panel LED simulation
- I/O: Configure and monitor digital I/O lines
- Networking: Configure Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and firewall settings
- Serial: Configure serial port parameters and protocols
- Bluetooth: Manage Bluetooth connections
- Applications: Access Node-RED and Docker containers
- Services: Start, stop, and configure system services
- Terminal: Command-line access to the underlying Linux system
Security
Change the default password immediately after initial configuration to secure your device.
